Yamateh is a Malaysian player who was formerly known as one of the best Shadow Fiend players in the world (which was a big deal, he was a hugely popular hero in WC3 DotA, and takes a lot of skill to play) and one of the best carries in the world. Most recently though, he's on Team Liquid and famous for his Clockwerk and Tinker. He played for EG for the last couple of years, though I'm not 100% sure what team he's on now.īulba is another NA DotA player who has been around for a long time competitively, though he played on lower tiered teams for a long time. This video of him on Zeus was really popular a while back, though the quality is shittier than I remembered.ĭemon also played on MYM, and was great and fairly popular, but he's not quite legendary outside of NA. Currently he mostly streams, stands in for teams on occasion, casts sometimes, and was on the panel at TI3. He retired a long while back, but came back to Dota 2. He was famous for his Zeus play, as well as Boots of Travel Tinker and "inventing" jungling (prior to him doing it in competition jungling from level 1 wasn't really seen).
Merlini is another US player that was on the Danish MYM, and for a time was considered the best player in the world. He's been on a few teams since then, currrently EG, and some people would call him one of the best players ever (particularly because he can play any role with proficiency). I put the most legendary guys in bold, but included the regional legends and some of up and coming legends and some of the borderline people as well.įear has been around forever, originally famous on a team called Complexity, but he also gained a lot of popularity on MYM, a Danish team that was one of the best European teams around.
